Artist Statement
For “Slice of Life”: Life is better with pizzas. Their geometric and organic constituents come together to create a delectable abstract price of art known to mankind. Seasonings are the artist’s final touches before it enters the soul as an exotic anesthetic. Diversity on display at its finest.
For “Ramé”: In Balinese, “Ramé” is used to describe something that’s both chaotic and joyful. The blooms that reside inside a vase have an obligation to pose and exude beauty despite the crammy proximity. The collage surrounding them does the same with strokes of elusiveness in order to present a happy picture.
For “Rollercoaster”: This mantra has kept me going, which is why I strategically placed it within eyeshot. When the waves of problems lap against my hopes, a glance at this art tells me to hang in, move on, and let go. So do the words truly hold any value? Yes and no.
