Artist’s Statement

“Strawberry Heart”: “Strawberry Heart” combines two shapes: both red, beautiful, seductive, and nourishing; yet, both are fragile and easily perishable. 

“The Dance”: Two terns caught mid-confrontation trace a composition that is almost circular, each completing the other’s arc, challenging the viewer to interpret it as either combat or courtship.
